Welcome to the official blog of the Wireless Informatics Forum (WIF). WIF is a non-profit organization designed to promote the collection, validation and sharing of knowledge to collectively build a better understanding of mobile user experience optimization and define industry best practice. It is our vision that the forum becomes the industry’s number one resource for anyone with an interest in, or commitment to, the mobile user experience. Our website www.wirelessinformaticsforum.org (which will be launched in the next 24 hours!!) is a community website and we proactively encourage participation through our discussion boards.

It’s been an exciting project to get WIF off the ground and we are nearly there. This blog is the first thing to go live and we are all dedicated to using this forum as a means of sharing thoughts, commentary and industry data. WIF comes at just the right time too; the launch of the iPhone has really shifted people’s thinking around the value of the user experience and the way in which consumers interact with their devices. For too long the mobile industry has been chasing technology without first understanding the user experience. I suspect all that is starting to change as more and more players across the market look to user experience optimization as a means of increasing customer loyalty and service adoption.

WIF has been launched by WDSGlobal, but will retain full impartiality. We also invite organizations to show their support by becoming members / partners. Drop us a line if you would like to learn more.
